Good Evening and Happy Monday!! There are two times a year where it gets really hectic around the Unique household and that is Pre Spring and Pre Fall. Why you ask? Its trade show time!!! I like to get out there and have a chance to meet all the fantastic Unique by Sab customers. Whether they happen to be returning customers or new ones. Better yet I get to meet the way too cute little ones that maybe sporting one of my handmade items. :-)
In the Fall, I was lucky enough to meet one of my contest winners at one of the shows I was attending. I held a contest a little while back to name my Unique product. I wanted my customers be involved in the naming. I knew I would get a trendy and unique name and that I did. The mom that named this product came up with a name the fit the product to a "T". Better yet she was lucky enough to win one. The Neckerchief Bib.
Show season is a lot of work and dedication. Also a lot of mess my family has to put up with while I'm busy crafting and crating. My dinning room is taken over by every supply and tool under the sun. Its a wonder I can find anything but its my organised kayos.
Many sleepless nights burning the midnight oil to get get it all done but its worth it. To see every piece I created with my own two hands. To know it did not come out of a factory somewhere and that the product is unique in every way.
What comes with shows are new designs for existing products. I love this part. it involves shopping and what girl does not love shopping right.
New product is something I tend to do with show season. Fall 2011 I released the Trouser Trap belts. These are fantastic and well my son no longer looses his pants. Yay to that. :-)
As busy and hectic as show season is I love every minute of it. Crafting and creating is something I love and enjoy.
